Cost As per our current fee schedule.  Costs will depend on the degree of course customization, whether a formal certificate of achievement is required and the number of drivers per vehicle.
Content In its standard form, fleet driver training is exactly the same as Bush Driver Training however we are happy to customize the course to your organization's requirements. In particular, we can include your own Workplace Health and Safety procedures and incident reporting procedures. If appropriate, training can be conducted at your own site. Unless otherwise arranged, details are:

Course description

This is an entry-level course. It will equip the drivers to travel on construction sites or tracks comparable to those in National Parks and Forestry. Guidelines are given for travel on un-sealed highways and beaches. If required, elements of our advanced training program can be incorporated at the expense of eg discussion of accessories. In particular, winching techniques should be included if your fleet vehicles are so fitted. Please contact us for further information.

  • A theory session to explain different 4WD systems and their limitations.
  • An analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of the vehicles present.
  • Graded practical exercises on our prepared track.
  • A discussion of recovery gear and accessories.
  • Practical recovery exercises using a 'snatch-strap'.

  • Lunch
  • A hat and sunscreen
  • Any recovery gear issued with the vehicle
  • Work clothing suitable for the bush is required
